HONOLULU -- Express your civic pride and help preserve culture by calling dibs on one of more than 80 public monuments and sculptures in the city's Adopt-A-Sculpture program. Participating groups will assist the city with routine upkeep of public art, with training in art preservation provided by the Mayor's Office of Culture and the Arts. Call 768-6622. I just love this idea of adopting sculpture - a wonderful way to preserve and protect the treasures that sculptures are and will be! BW |
