Kimberly Radochia Sculpture

Periodically this month, The Tribune has featured a different piece of art that is part of Greeley's Sculpture on Loan Program. Today's installment is the last.

In 1995, the Greeley Art Commission started the program, and the city now owns

27 sculptures that have either been purchased by the city or donated by Greeley-area artists.

The commission solicits art to be on display for one year in public areas and parks. Sixteen Sculpture on Loan pieces are on display this year as a part of the program.

Residents can vote on their favorite piece, and the artist who receives the most votes will receive a People's Choice Award and $500.

You can vote for your favorite sculpture at the Greeley Arts Picnic today at the Greeley Arts Commission booth in Lincoln Park.

For more information about the current artwork, go to www.greeleyart.com.

For information about purchasing Sculpture on Loan Program artwork, or to donate art to the city of Greeley, contact Kim Snyder at (970) 350-9450 or kim.snyder@greeleygov.com.

Spatial Thoughts on Sculpture by Bill West
This piece by "Swept Up" by Kimberly Radochia just caught my eye. It's so clean looking in it's form and shape, really together in a functional or workable fashion. Seems like it is poised to do it's job and do it well. I think Kim hit a home run with this piece!
