The title is "Kaa the Snake", (named after the snake in Kiplings Jungle Book)
It measures 19x12x8". It is carved from Japanese pyrophyllite, commonly refered to as wonderstone. The eyes are amethyst cabochons that have been electroplated with gold. The tongue was carved from an unidentified specimen, perhaps jasper. |
