NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK - An awesome display of 7,000 pounds of ice in the heart of New York City.
The heart-shaped ice sculpture was completed in Times Square on Friday, just in time for Valentine's Day weekend. The sculpture was Designed by architect brothers Robert and Granger Moorhead. The blocks of ice are calibrated to absorb and magnify the lights of the illuminated chaos of Times Square. Ice sculptors Takeo and Shintaro Okamoto helped construct the heart from masonry-scaled blocks of ice. Pictures of the work can be viewed online at http://www.theiceheart.com |
