LANCASTER, OH - The Fairfield Union High School Student Council, in collaboration with student organizations, community members and school administration, worked to commission a bronze sculpture of a falcon to be placed in the courtyard near the main entrance of the new high school.
The sculpture has been commissioned through Alan Cottrill of Zanesville, who will open his studio to the public as he works on the falcon during the next six months. The statue, upon completion, will be 15 feet tall with a wingspan of nearly 12 feet. Community members and alumni interested in learning more about the falcon sculpture project can contact Dale Ferbrache or Travis Keirns at Fairfield Union High School. Contributions to the project can be sent to the attention of Student Council Advisor Travis Keirns, payable to FUHS Student Council "Falcon Sculpture." |
