Love might be in the air, but it's definitely on the ground at East Carolina University. The university unveiled a new stainless steel sculpture on Saturday on the front lawn of the Jenkins Fine Arts Center. It is called "Cycles of Love" and is the work of University of Kentucky professor Garry Bibbs. "It has two figures inside of it, you see the cycles swirling around them, you know and they both embrace, it's this whole idea of the time and intermingling of relationships," Bibbs said.

Bibbs has been a visiting artist on campus for the last week. He spent the time lecturing, leading workshops and critiquing students on their work. They helped him put the finishing touches on the sculpture. Bibbs cautioned the students about the challenges it takes to be a professional artist. He says they need to have a diverse skill set to survive. "Cycles of Love" will be on display across from the chancellors' house for the next year.
