Taking Stalk —

Dawn loved cats (any kind) and adopted several homeless ones so therefore she knew every thing about one and loved every one of them. She had the opportunity to be around a mountain lion when it was only big enough to fit in her two hands and watched it grow up to maturity...what a privilege she felt! A couple other sculptors told her they were thinking about sculpting one of these cats until they saw Dawn's...they told her that they could not do one better so they would not even try...quite a compliment!!! It turned out that the tablesize sculpture won more awards for Dawn at shows across the US than any other pieces that she sculpted! One of the pictures shows the smaller lifesize 500 lb "Taking Stalk" (4 1/2 foot high) also available for $39,000 in an edition of 15. Also notice that one picture shows a 'black' panther color...like the 'blue black' of a gun! Very beautiful! The one picture shows that we can patina one of these as a black panther also...like the 'blue-black' on a gun...absolutely stunning!
