We always look at a painting from the front and never care about what's happening behind it. This applies to every situation in our daily life. The illusion and the reality to every story. We live in a materialistic world today. We live to collect commodities and brand them based on reputation and not on quality. Objects today are valued by their brand name and no one really cares if they are actually in fact paying for the quality of that product. More so with talent today too, any two people could have the same skills, but the fact that one of them presents themselves better, he/she is more valued. I decided to put the painting up in a vertical manner, showing both sides to indicate the similarity in material and process but difference in presentation. A very simple design made to create a sense of curiosity in the viewers and urge them to compare the happenings in their life respectively and question its value? The idea of portraying an object differently, like a painting not hung in its usual manner, prompts the viewer to question the intention of the artist to do so.
