The need to earn to afford basic necessities has been over ridden by the greed to earn a place in this world judged by wealth. This work like the piece 'cycle of wealth' has a plaster covered object within, just to represent an idea of the wealth itself. The illusion of something of such huge quantity flowing out of something so small is the illusion that we all live in today. The fiberglass around the object within the golden structure causes the hand to itch when trying to get through. The idea of it being torn shows that we would risk anything to get it. The viewers are forced to question their actions in doing so in their own lives.
