L Heart knot —

This abstract sculpture was carved out of Vermont marble. It is a knot, which expresses the knots in life. It reminds me of a heart, so I called it L Heart Knot. The way that this modern sculpture bends and folds within itself is something that shows the limitless qualities that one object in nature can posses. To make something as rigid and solid as a piece of stone look so soft and flexible. It shows you that anything is possible. If you saw the piece of stone prior to the sculpting process, you would never imagined that it could look the way that it does when the sculpting is complete. Art is about having a vision and an imagination, and a modern sculpture such as this one captures that point.
