Joy Kroeger Beckner, winner of the 1999 National Sculpture Society Silver Medal for her bronze dachshund, "A Good Life", will teach Canine Sculpture, with emphasis on anatomy and movement. The workshop will take place at the Loveland Academy, Loveland, CO, October 8-12. Call 800-726-5232 to register.

The Ella Carothers Dunnegan Gallery of Art in Bolivar, MO, the final venue for the Art & the Animal Kingdom tour, purchased "A Good Life" for its permanent collection.

In addition, "A Good Life", earned First Place for Sculpture at the Associated Artists of Southport, NC.

Joy's "So Good to See You" was awarded Third Place in an all media exhibition of the National League of American Pen Women, in Springdale, AR. "So Good to See You" has been accepted into the 16th Annual Competition sponsored by the Bosque Conservatory Council for Art Exhibition in Clifton, TX. "So Good to See You" was also accepted in the Society of Animal Artists 41st Annual Exhibition.

Joy's combined work, "Life is Good," was selected for display through May 2002, by the Heart of Evergreen Sculpture Walk, in downtown Evergreen, CO. And, Joy recently co-curated "It's Reigning Cats & Dogs", a fun show about the family pet, at the St. Louis Artists' Guild.
