On April 22, 2006 Dawn Weimer was the featured artist/sculptor at Wyoming's largest charity, Wyoming Cares. This was the first time a sculptor was featured in WYO/CARES 20+ year history. Several of Dawn's larger table-size bronzes were placed around the large conference room and entry, as well as six life-size and monumental bronzes were on Dawn's trailer outside for viewing. There were approximately 200 in attendance and bidding was brisk. Everyone was excited to take home a 2"high Bearly Serious bronze sculpture. WYO/CARES mission is "to provide assistance to Wyoming residents in need" Funds raised in Wyoming stay in Wyoming. |
