The Wit Gallery presents:
"The Art of Giving" 2011 Winter Charity Drive.

This is a time when every donation counts. Charities have been hit hard during these tough economic times, and The Wit Gallery and its artists are working together to help ease some of this hardship.

Throughout the winter, the gallery will offer select pieces by each participating artist for sale at a considerable discount and top off the savings with a donation made to the artist's favored charity in the purchaser's name. Over 15 artists have selected the following charitable organizations:

The Alzheimer's Association, Berkshire Food Project, Berkshire Humane Society, CARE, The Jimmy Fund, Cultural Arts Alliance of Hopkinton, Autism Speaks, The good Samaritans Fund of Berkshire County, Hevreh of South Berkshire, Berkshire Creative, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Room to Read, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. More organizations are added each week as more artists sign on to participate.

Artists involved include:
Sculptors Michael Alfano, Jerry Alonzo, Philippe Guillerm, Stanley Marcus, Barbara Scavotto-Earley, photographer Scott Barrow, glass artists Gartner Blade, Alan Binstock, drawings by Paul Chojnowski, painters Cari Cohen, Susanne Howes-Stevens, William Oberst, Lenore Robins, Carol Staub mixed media by Joel Curran, ceramics by Kaolin Pottery, and Jennifer McCurdy. More artists are added each week.

The goal of the program is to help others while generating interest in it's artists, the art they create and the communities that they come from.

The Wit Gallery is located at 27 Church St., Lenox. info@thewitgallery.com
