Sophie Dickens Sculpture at The Millinery Works

CamdenNewJournal

Feature: The Big Picture - Exhibition - Sophie Dickens' sculptures at
The Millinery Works from February 23 to March 13

THIS is an exciting time at The Millinery Works, with their first exhibition dedicated solely to sculpture.

Before launching her career as a sculptor, Islington-based artist Sophie Dickens studied art history at the Courtauld Institute and anatomy at University College London.

Since 2001, Sophie has had 14 exhibitions in London, the home counties and Paris, and has received many commissions in the UK and as far afield as San Francisco, Moscow and Hong Kong.

Sophie's work brilliantly captures the movement of figures in time. The star of this exhibition is a life-size sculpture of Lady Godiva.

Coinciding with the Royal Academy's major exhibition, this is the year British sculpture gets a well-deserved showing.
