Santa Fe, NM - Greenberg Fine Art is pleased to feature: Mark Yale Harris, Figurative Abstractions during Canyon Road Gallery Night. Gallery Owner, Mark Greenberg, active member on the executive board of the Canyon Road Merchants Association, commented, "The Canyon Road Merchants Association is thrilled to have participation and cross promotion from SOFA WEST for Canyon Road Gallery Night. Support of the local arts in Santa Fe is our greater goal. Both events are excellent for our city as a whole, and sculptor Mark Yale Harris is the perfect conduit."

In the tradition of sculptors Constantin Brncusi and Henry Moore, Mark Yale Harris's work adopts a similarly clean line and smooth surface texture with emphasis placed on the material. Harris is deeply entrenched in the west, noted as "a pioneer of the 21 Century Regionalist style", writes curator James Burns. Splitting his time between Santa Fe and the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado, Harris combines a modernist aesthetic with the legendary influence of the southwestern light, climate and culture. Harris is an ideal representative for SOFA WEST, as his creations epitomize their mission a seamless merging of art and design.

Current works by Harris can be found in multiple public collections, including: Booth Western Art Museum - Cartersville, Georgia; Herman Memorial Hospital - Houston, Texas; State of New Mexico; Four Seasons Hotel - Chicago, Illinois; and the City of Roanoke, Virginia.Furthermore, Harris's sculpture has recently been featured at ArtParks International Sculpture garden in England; the Open Air Museum - Ube, Japan; Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art - Biloxi, Mississippi, and the Polk Museum of Art - Lakeland, Florida.

Mark Yale Harris, Figurative Abstractions was published in 2010 as part of ARTWORKinternational Inc., Press's Acclaimed Artist Series. A second book, in the same series, Mark Yale Harris, Untamed, is slated for release in August 2011. Both publications closely examine the important works created thus far in this sculptor's career.
