Margot Gotoff Glass Sculpture |
"Here are some of my latest pieces. They were in 5 exhibits since June. They all start out being sculpted in clay. Then, through a complex series of different processes, are recreated in wax, then cast in glass. The cooling down phase, annealing, can take from 2 weeks to over a month. Then comes the detailed, intricate polishing with diamond files and pads. The colors and transparency of glass continue to intrigue me!" |
Cincinnati sculptor Margot Gotoff sent us these images recently of her ever so creative glass pieces. A most interesting process with results that more than match her efforts. I'm hooked! |
