Elegance & Grace: Sculpture by Guy Dill

Monday, June 6 10:30a to 6:30p
at Meyerovich Gallery, San Francisco, CA

Meyerovich Gallery's spring/summer exhibition schedule features contemporary American sculptor Guy Dill. "Elegance & Grace: Sculpture by Guy Dill" is one of the premier exhibitions in the gallery's contemporary space.

On view in the gallery there are 12 sculptures in different sizes. These abstract bronze and aluminum sculptures range from large (8 x 4 x 2 feet) to medium (26 x 29 x 8 inches) in scale and interact with the viewer at every angle. Both his bronze and aluminum sculptures, while not figurative, often suggest the lines, curves, and supple swoop of bodies and movement itself. For example, the bronze sculpture "Rinascente" (Rebirth) is particularly notable of his signature style. Its push and pull of smooth metal forms arranged together make the piece seem to be dancing, its shape suggestive within its swirls of joy.

A collection of 10 Guy Dill sculpture will be on exhibition at the San Francisco Fine Art Fair (SFFAF) presented by Meyerovich Gallery at Fort Mason May 20 -22, 2011. Featuring 12 ft (height) aluminum sculpture "Warbaby" at the entrance to the fair.

Guy Dill is creating sculpture that truly enlivens and humanizes public spaces states Dr. Steven A.
