I didn't have a shot of it for my earlier post about the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show running through Sunday, but here, belatedly, is a photo of that gorgeous work by Coventry sculptor David Hayes in the Connecticut Horticultural Society's exhibit there.

Amazing how it almost dances -- and how cool yet organic -- almost in flight -- the metallic blades look juxtaposed against all the welcome lushness of a springtime to come.

The Flower and Garden Show continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Connecticut Convention Center at 100 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford.

Just being around so many plants and breathing in the sweet smells of bark and mulch and dirt at the show will lift your spirits.

Spatial Thoughts on Sculpture by Bill West
Ah yes, sculpture and flowers! they seem to compliment one another so well... Nicely executed sculpture by David Hayes and I might add it is placed very nicely!
