Brian Hanlon Sculpture |
A short (5 min) documentary of the Michael Horrocks statue that was created by Sculptor Brian Hanlon. Horrocks was a former QB at West Chester University, U.S. Marine, and co-pilot of United 175 that was hi-jacked and crashed into the World Trade Center. This video, created by Brad Nau of Comcast SportsNet, shows the inspiration and impact that these statues and their unveiling ceremonies can have on the community. |
Brian Hanlon, a sculptor who gets things done! His sculptural endeavors are varied, though he does focus quite often on heroes and sports. I truly enjoy his work seen in the above referenced video. The video not only portrays his work, but equally important, it really does tell and show us the importance of sculpture and what it means to society. Please, never forget my little equation: Society + Time = Sculpture, or you could reverse that! |
