Bilhenry Walker Sculpture

I have spent the last four months developing a new direction in sculpture and am finally able to share several images with you. You will immediately notice that... gone are the sharp angles and bolts of industry... in, are the soft organic curves of microbial nature. The over-all title for this series is "Out of the Petrie Dish" In which I am abstracting the "critters" of the Petrie Dish into giant facsimiles of themselves.

This all came about because I wanted to integrate neon lighting into my outdoor sculptures and couldn't use my old style to do so. Using LED-flex I will now be able to outline my sculptural shapes and power them with 100% re-usable energy where possible. This is the new direction I am headed after having made sculpture in the industrial mode for 20 years.

In the meantime, I have been building small models which have grown into table-top sculptures and which are ready to scale up into larger indoor and outdoor sculptures.

I am offering these smaller sculptures at the following artist prices: The table top pieces made of half inch aluminum plate are $2500- $3000 and half that size are $1200-$1500 (as in "Petrie Chub I" pictured below). Please request more views of each if interested. The pricing on the larger sculptures will soon be available.

Spatial Thoughts on Sculpture by Bill West
Bilhenry Walker sent us some images of his new work today - I really enjoy Mr. Walker's new direction, not that his previous work wasn't enjoyable, it was and still is! I can't wait to see some large examples with the lighting - ought to be extra exciting to our eyes and minds! Soft shapes, forms, and lines are welcomed in this world today where everything is seems so sharp or abrupt, always in our face, like it or not! My first impression (which counts for allot) of the new work was that it possessed a very soothing feel to it!
