"Beth" is a life-sized bronze sculpture of a lovely young lady from Dallas, Texas. When we flew out to meet Beth and her family it was a hot August day. We decided to have Beth and her sisters play with gardening tools outdoors. Beth picked up a bucket of water and was swinging it around as I got the inspiration for this sculpture. With her tall, slim figure and her natural graceful lines, it was a real joy to sculpt her in clay. My challenge is to always portray my subject's personality as well as her physical appearance. In this sculpture you can see "Beth" as a quiet, reserved young woman with an inner confidence and a calm assurance that she can handle any situation with poise and grace. The final sculpture was cast into bronze by Art Castings of Loveland, CO. After the sculpture was finished and custom patinas applied, "Beth" was shipped to Dallas where she is now installed in the garden area of her parents' home.
