AK47 Design Chair
by Weber Rainer

Description:

- This is the first patent-registered, original AK 47 chair - The chair is composed of genuine, formally still in service 4 stb AK47 featuring a fixed stock and 2 stb AK47 featuring a so-called folding stock, which were utilized as front chair legs and at the same time as both arm rests. The weapons were completely dismantled and welded back together by means of 4L sections and 3 round sections. The framework of the chair plus all dismantled parts were chrome-plated and ultimately put back together. The fabrics for both arm rests and back rests were ordered at Backhausen in Vienna and were handwoven in Venice at the Luigi Bevilacqua Company (established in 1700). Unfortunately, with this kind of weapon, the pistol grips could be found only in synthetic material in their original condition. They were varnished in black. The remaining wooden stocks were treated with a special varnish. The cartridge belt was manufactured in a special way in order to hold the original, chrome-plated AK47 cartridges. Another highlight is the original russian steel helmet which was likewise chrome-plated and the interior leather- coated. Additionally, all L- sections and details from the gun barrels were similarly leather-coated. - This chair is an exquisite piece of furniture. It is unique in its way and has been design-copyrighted and patent-registered. A limited series of the chair will be follow.
