JACOB AND THE ANGEL refers to the Biblical narrative of Jacob wrestling with the Angel. Jacob states: 'I will not let you go unless you bless me'. The large figure representing the Angel is significant in that he pushes back the past so to speak with the gesture of his outstretched arm. He allows Jacob to fight him in his struggle leading to redemption.
