Unusual catch crop sown between main crops in a large field. Attractive and delicate mix of white and purple Cruciferous flowers with a much larger seed pod than oilseed rape. Also known as oil radish and tillage radish, it is a valuable cover crop in arable rotations due to its ability to break up soil compaction, reduce beet cyst nematode populations in the soil, scavenge nitrogen and increase organic matter.
