Among other pieces made for the cycle 'WaterAirTime,' the artist created four pieces, his interpretation of hourglasses. Besides the general narrative concerns, their final form came as a reflection of his artistic interest in the relationship between the interior and the exterior of the sculptural object. Their semi-transparent surface shell, made of chains, allowed the artist to suggest, but not to assert the existence of the sculpture's inner space. Instead of its visual manifestation, here he chose to let the sound made by the interior strings of chains reveal the inner contents, and embody the time dimension. The sculpture is made of stainless steel which provides its rich surface gloss and texture.
