RAVEN WAS CONCEIVED FROM THE BRITISH CATHEDERALS UNDER ATTACK DURING THE MIDDLE AGES. IT WAS BELIEVED THAT THE RAVENS HELP KEEP OPPOSSING FORCES AWAY. THIS ABSTRACT SCULPTURE DEPICS A RAVEN WITH WINGS THAT ARE SIMILAR TO THE CATHEDERALS FLYING EXTERNAL COLUMNS WITH A CONE SHAPED BEAK AND TRIANGLE FEET MOUNTED ON A ABSOLUTE GRANITE BASE. THE OVERALL FORM IS GEOMETRIC USING THE BASIC SHAPES OF NATURE ALONG WITH THE ELEMENTS OF LINE AND PLANES.
