Christopher Yancey has had a lifetime love of art. At the age of 12 he attended the ceramics class at the local boys club in Garden Grove, California, where instead of painting the pre-made ceramic figures he used the clay to create his own.

Christopher's love of form and composition led him early on to pursue relief as an emphasis for his sculptural works. Since his debut as a professional, he has challenged the status quo of Plein Air competitions choosing to sculpt en plein air rather than paint or draw.

With his unique form of sculpture, which has its roots in antiquity, Christopher strives to create a deeper dimension to the stories and imagery he skillfully portrays.
